Hello Winter

When we set off on our roadtrip we sort of expected to be back by the end of summer, yet here we are, in Croatia, just over halfway through our journey. It's worth mentioning we have no winter tyres and not much wood left for our wood burner either. Yet when our friend Paulina told us about Medvednica we were sold and had to go for an explore.

(The last photo got turned into a Christmas card - mum loved it and just assumed it was 'off the internet')

Alfie and Pip

On what was meant to be our last day in Romania we found two beautiful puppies abandoned on a bridge. We took them in, got them up to date with their vaccination and managed to find two lovely owners - all in two weeks.

'Please can we keep them?' came up in conversation many a time, but realistically we weren't in the best position to take on this challenge. Letting go was hard and emotional, but I'm grateful we got the chance to hang out with these two fur balls.

Alfie and Pip, you are greatly missed.

Relics

We drove past this rusty beast somewhere in Romania and had to stop for a nosey. What follows is a cacophony of textures, beautiful textures.

Rural Wanderings (II)

I've been here before, on several occasions in fact. Yet this is the first time that I am so overwhelmed and in awe. Could it be that I'm experiencing it twice, through mine and Hugo's eyes? It's exhilarating.
